Strengthening patient involvement in Health Technology Assessment (HTA)

HTA is a multidisciplinary process that examines the information about medical, cost-effectiveness, social, political, legal and ethical considerations of the application of a health technology – usually a medicine, medical device or clinical/surgical procedure. The main purpose of conducting an assessment is to inform policy decision making, which has an impact on patients and their ecosystem of health, including physicians and payers. The webinar will examine the need for patient involvement in HTA and look at the HTA landscape in Europe.
